About the event
Join us for Saturday School: Share Care, Play Fair, OPF’s playful community learning activation at Zen to Zion [Seven X Acres] in the Bay of Quinte Region, Ontario.
This indoor/outdoor experience invites children, youth, adults, elders, vendors, artists, educators, and community members to learn side-by-side through play, movement, creativity, nature, storytelling, food, art, making, and shared experience.
Participants will use Peace-Certified Play Money to practice budgeting, spending, saving, sharing, and exchanging across hands-on activations throughout the property. Each station will invite guests to make choices, explore value, participate in community exchange, and reflect on how resources can circulate with greater care and fairness.
Rooted in permaculture ethics, Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share, Saturday School invites participants to experience the 12 permaculture principles through play, observation, creativity, collaboration, land-based learning, and practical community care.
