This matte hardcover journal is a steady companion for reflection, planning, and purposeful work. Created in the spirit of Journey · Justice · Joy, it reflects the Quinte Cultural Innovation Committee’s commitment to equity in education, dignity in housing, food security, and repairative community events, including Our Peace Festival.

The smooth, matte-laminated cover features an illustration of diverse women forming a heart, a visual expression of women as the heart of community and catalysts for care, justice, and collective well-being. It honours sisterhood across cultures and the belief that meaningful change begins with listening, learning, and shared responsibility.

Inside, 150 lined pages with perforations offer space to journal, plan, organize, and imagine. Whether used for reflective writing, meeting notes, classroom learning, community organizing, or festival planning, this journal is designed to hold ideas that contribute to real-world impact. Pages can be kept, shared, or passed along, reflecting QCIC’s belief that knowledge grows when it moves.

The sewn casewrap binding allows the journal to lay flatter for ease of use, while vibrant, full-wrap printing keeps the artwork clear and enduring. A subtle production barcode on the back remains unobtrusive, preserving the integrity of the design.

Use this journal as a tool for learning, leadership, and care, a place to record the work of building communities rooted in dignity, justice, and peace.

FOR IT IS WRITTEN

"Just as we have many parts in ONE body — and all the parts do not have the same function — so we, who are many, are ONE in Christ and everyone parts of one another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace that was given to us.” - Romans 12:4-6

- WRITING ON THE WALL -

Join us in acknowledging that the nation we know as Canada was and is traditionally home to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. We are grateful to be orchestrated by the Most High to live, play, learn, and serve with them, on this land, in this time --- for a higher calling and greater purpose.

Our acknowledgement represents our recognition of this region's longer history, one predating the settlement of the earliest European immigrants. The churches in our country are many. Our direct call-to-action is for churches, institutions, organizations, local businesses and community members to take time this year, to engage in truth and reconcili-action to foster peace and unity for us all; as ONE united race of people.

We are hue(mans); regardless of our gender, racial, cultural and alternative identities. While Equity, Inclusion and Diversity policies and procedures are essential, real change stems from the heart. We're invite you to observe the bodies of water on our planet -- they collectively reject and transcend imaginary lines of division, labels, and identity they've been assigned and gather into ONE ocean.

Similarly, we look forward to pacing towards labels of identity that unify us as humans while honouring and celebrating our similarities and differences to abolish systematic injustice and close equity gaps together as ONE people, sharing ONE planet.
